HTP Elite Premier EP-110 Condensing Boiler
Installed price on hydronic work varies more by market, existing-system condition and contractor than by brand. Several products in this catalog explicitly recommend getting at least two contractor quotes for this reason.
Floor-mount, space-heating-only condensing boiler with the highest AFUE in this catalog, paired with a separate indirect tank for domestic hot water.
Our take
HTP is a smaller, less consumer-visible brand than Navien or Rheem, but 96.4% AFUE is genuinely the top of this catalog. Being heat-only rather than combi is itself a legitimate answer to this category's own regret pattern: our research found repeated trade complaints that combi units struggle under simultaneous domestic-hot-water and space-heating demand — pairing a heat-only boiler with a dedicated indirect tank sidesteps that failure mode entirely, at the cost of floor space for the tank.
Best for
Homes with room for an indirect tank where peak AFUE and separating heating from domestic hot water duty both matter.
Watch out for
HTP also sells water heaters under the same 'Elite Premier' name (SKU prefix HEP-, not EP-) — don't let a quote or a parts order confuse the two product lines.

Before you buy this
Ask about turndown ratio, not just efficiency — a boiler that can't modulate down to your house's actual heat loss on a mild day short-cycles, and short-cycling is what wears a boiler out early. Confirm whether your radiators or baseboard were sized for the supply temperature this boiler will actually deliver. And ask for a heat-loss calculation instead of matching the old unit's output.
