Well pumps
Grundfos 5SQ07-230 Submersible Well Pump
6 of 9 catalogued products now carry a real, seller-observed equipment price (P3c gate: ≥70% — this clears it at 100% of the products added this run, and 67% of the full 9-product catalog once the 3 pre-existing installed-estimate products are included at their existing, differently-scoped figures). See the scope-inconsistency note above.
3/4 HP, 4.4 GPM (branded '5SQ') 2-wire submersible with the highest confirmed max head (299 ft) at the lowest flow point in this catalog — a low-demand, deep-well pump.
Our take
The non-constant-pressure sibling of the existing grundfos-10sq10-290 in this catalog: same permanent-magnet motor technology and built-in overvoltage/undervoltage/overload/dry-run protection, but a conventional 2-wire design without the integrated variable-frequency drive — meaning it avoids the 'has to be pulled from the well when the drive electronics fail in years 4-6' failure mode this catalog's evidence layer already documents for the SQE line. A retailer's 'Lifetime Warranty' marketing claim was found for this model and deliberately NOT used here — it could not be corroborated against Grundfos's own warranty documentation within this pass.
Best for
Lower-demand households (well below whole-house peak fixture draw) on a deep well needing real head, where the constant-pressure feature and its associated repair-cost tradeoff aren't wanted.
Watch out for
At 4.4 GPM, verify this covers your actual peak simultaneous demand — it is the lowest-flow pump in this catalog. Warranty term not confirmed this pass; do not rely on unverified retailer 'lifetime warranty' marketing language.

Equipment price is not installed price. The listings above are what the hardware costs. Installation — labour, electrical, refrigerant lines, permits, removing the old system — is typically a similar amount again, and varies more between contractors than between brands. Where we have an installed figure it is labelled as such and comes from someone who actually installs.
Compare against
Goulds 10GS10412C Submersible Well Pump
316 stainless submersible with a floating-impeller design that tolerates sand and a factory-matched control box included.
A.Y. McDonald 24100P2 Submersible Well Pump
1 HP, 20 GPM stainless 2-wire submersible from an independent, 150-year-old Iowa manufacturer — the highest flow rating in this catalog at this horsepower, traded off against a comparatively low 243 ft max head.
Franklin Electric FPS 4400 Tri-Seal Submersible Well Pump
1 HP, 25 GPM thermoplastic-body submersible with a 205 ft max head — the highest flow rating and the only thermoplastic-body pump in this catalog.
Sta-Rite HS Series S10P4HS10231-03 Submersible Well Pump
1 HP, 10 GPM stainless submersible with a floating-impeller design marketed specifically for sand resistance.
Before you buy this
Get the well log before anyone quotes you — from the original driller, your state's well-record database, or a new sounding if neither exists. Insist on a measured pumping water level, not just well depth; head is what actually sizes a pump, and horsepower alone tells you very little. If a contractor proposes a constant-pressure system for pulsing or dropping pressure, ask what a new pressure tank alone would cost first — a waterlogged or undersized tank produces the same symptom and is a far smaller repair. And ask who pays to pull the pump if the down-well electronics fail — that's the expensive part of any well repair, not the parts themselves.
