Every one of the 10 products has a recorded SKU-verification status (verified x9, mismatch x1 — mitsubishi-mxz-3d24nl, where the commonly-quoted MXZ-3C24NA is confirmed discontinued and MXZ-3D24NL is the current equivalent). Fujitsu is the perennial second choice to Mitsubishi in ductless, and the gap is smaller than the market share suggests. XLTH units hold heating output well below zero and typically quote 10-15% under an equivalent Mitsubishi. The counterweight is a thinner service network in much of the country.

Best for

Cold-climate ductless installs where price matters and a qualified Fujitsu contractor is available locally.

Ask the contractor for the AHRI certificate number for the specific indoor/outdoor combination being installed — ratings apply to matched pairs, not to the outdoor unit alone. Ask whether they will perform a Manual J load calculation rather than sizing off the equipment being replaced. And check your state and utility incentive programmes: there is no federal tax credit for a 2026 installation, so those programmes are now the only incentive money available, and many require approval before installation.
