This run's own new price observations (P3c) are equipment-only, not installed, and several are one-time promotional "sale" prices rather than standing list prices -- see this entry's note field and pricing.build_up below.

Modular high-voltage LFP battery, 4.65 kWh per block up to 4 blocks (18.6 kWh usable in a single stack), 93% DC peak round-trip efficiency, launched for US orders 2026-07-13.

Our take

The newest product in this entire catalog expansion by a wide margin -- SolarEdge opened US orders for Nexis on 2026-07-13, just over six weeks before this research pass, confirmed directly from SolarEdge's own corporate press release. That timing matters concretely: this product's own datasheet is marked 'preliminary and subject to validation and firmware updates' by SolarEdge itself, and no real seller price could be found anywhere this pass -- there has not yet been time for the normal distributor/retail price-discovery process to happen. Independent press coverage of the launch cites different capacity/power figures for what appears to be the same underlying product (a European-market-focused article cited 4.9 kWh modules and up to 78 kWh/28 kW stacked; the NAM press release cited 5 kWh modules scaling to 80 kWh); this catalog entry uses only the official North America datasheet's own numbers rather than either secondary figure, and flags the discrepancy rather than picking one silently.

Best for

Buyers already committed to a SolarEdge inverter ecosystem who want a modular, quick-install (SolarEdge claims under 30 minutes) LFP system, and who are comfortable being an early adopter of a product with no price history or field-service track record yet.

Watch out for

No public per-unit price exists yet at any US channel checked this pass -- budget for a direct installer quote, not a retail listing. The datasheet itself is marked preliminary; confirm final certified specifications with your installer before relying on any number here for a purchase decision.

Model number check: no_public_price

SKU and specs confirmed directly against SolarEdge's own North America preliminary datasheet. No public per-unit price found this pass at any channel checked -- US orders only opened 2026-07-13, six weeks before this research pass; no retail price-discovery has happened yet.

Compare against

Before you buy this

Size on continuous power (kW) for what you actually want backed up during an outage, not just usable capacity (kWh) — a well pump or a heat pump compressor starting can draw far more than its running wattage. List your essential loads and ask whether the proposed inverter can start them together, not just hold them once running. And confirm the quote isn't still claiming the 30% federal credit, which expired for anything placed in service after 31 December 2025.
